Political Theatre Panel tonight!

Playwrights David Rabe, Jessica Hagedorn, and Brett C. Leonard will appear tonight at an already announced panel discussion sponsored by the Public Theatre called "The Public Goes to War": "Writers, directors, designers and performers who have been part of productions that address war and its discontents, talk about the spirit of their times and how theater can effect change. " While initially the implicit focus may have been Iraq and promoting the Public upcoming opening of Stuff Happens...word has it tonight people will be showing up expecting to talk about "Rachel Corrie" and New York Theatre Workshop. So if you're downtown tonight, try to get in!

Oh, and by the way: it is co-sponsored by "The New York Times Community Affairs Department"

Tickets are $10. Free if you're a New School student or alum. It's at The New School, Tishman Auditorium - 66 West 12th Street (off 5th Avenue).

Sorta OT, but old threads die. I posted at a couple of sites that I had looked online at ticket possibilities for the NYTW production of "My Name..." Some blogs are claiming tickets were never offered.
