Live from Lincoln Center: South Pacific

by Matt Roberson

- For those who are interested, PBS will air the long-running production of South Pacific tonight as part of their Live From Lincoln Center series.  The hit revival ends its run at Lincoln Center this weekend.  If you have never seen a Live From Lincoln Center program, these are thoughtful, beautifully filmed productions.

Does anyone have a full cast list from this production? I have been trying to find one online, but have sadly failed. Thanks a bunch! The best Bloody Mary I have ever seen!

Was wondering the same thing myself; this should do it:

As they most always show opera....

I believe you have confused Live from Lincoln Center, which shows a broad variety of (mostly musical) performances, with Live from the Met (now called Great Performances at the Met). The latter, as you would expect, focuses on opera.

Theo, you are correct. thanks for bringing that to my attention.

It was wonderful to see this great musical Live and on PBS. My only wish was that the Live from Lincoln Center performance they chose would have been the final performance today, August 22. The emotion that flows on the closing performance of a show is one that should have been given consideration when setting the air date for this most wonderful Broadway revival.
