I saw both parts of Angels in America a week before it closed and it was unforgettable. I'd read the plays and seen the HBO miniseries but seeing it live was something else. I'd forgotten how poetic Kushner's language could be, what a sharp and funny writer he is. And Michael Urie was terrific as Prior. I saw him collecting for BCEFA after Millennium Approaches and when I went to give him my donation, I burst into tears, I was so overwhelmed.
