The Working Actor

In case you missed it in Sunday's Times, Campbell Robertson asks the question we asked here lo many months ago: How much does an actor make?

A good cross section of up close & personals--ranging from $20,000 a year to almost $50,000! It gets higher if you go on tour with The Lion King, though...

Good info in that piece -- nice idea. But too bad we didn't get at least a few sentences about each of their approaches to the ART of acting. I know that's not what the story was about, but still . . .

I found the whole thing pretty depressing, but all in all no big surprise. Theatre actors are broke. Start the presses.
