"How Conveeeeeenient..."
Here's the response some folks are getting when inquiring about those free tix to the NYTW reading/discussions of Caryl Churchill's Seven Jewish Children:
Due to an overwhelming amount of interest from NYTW Members/donors and family of artists, at the moment there are no tickets available for the general public for the three nights of readings of Caryl Churchill’s SEVEN JEWISH CHILDREN.Well, a nice cozy little discussion that promises to be, with all those "friends of NYTW."
There will be a waiting list for cancellations. Remaining Tickets will first go to NYTW members on the waiting list and any remaining tickets after that will go to the general public on a first-come, first-serve basis. The lobby will open at 6pm for the general public to form a line for any available tickets.

How do you propose they should have done this? Given that they have no play currently running to append 7JC to and no budget for a long run? What do you think would have been fair and appropriate (and manageable)?
Did you go to -- or hear anything about -- the reading at the Brecht Forum?
Not sure why you propose this is sketchy, using "cozy", etc... I'm not saying you don't have reason to doubt or question, I just don't think NYTW is doing anything weird via this policy alone. You may have other inside info...
