Heads Up

After the Tuesday Times piece circulates, NYTW will probably go on the offensive, accusing the Royal Court of not returning their calls(!) and cutting off all negotiations. Or so I gather from my sources, at least.

We'll see what Royal Court says to that. But one has to say--even if that's true, can you blame the Court? Jim Nicola pulled the plug, proved he had only a wimpy commitment to the piece, couldn't guarantee another opening date... And on the other hand you have a West End producer ready to go. What would you do?

So now, on top of everything else, NYTW finds itself in an International Theatre Incident. PR-wise, I say it's a no-win.
